- True OKRs (from Drucker → Andy Grove) should be aspirational, exciting, and somewhat scary - Common traps: treating them like activity tracking, sandbagging/lowballing targets, focusing on actuals vs planned (old-school management), and rewarding completion over meaningful behavior change - Advice: Write inspiring objectives, define key results as “who does what by how much”, focus on progress & health signals during the quarter, and avoid judging success/failure harshly at the end to prevent loss aversion
